In an effort to bridge the political divide, water researchers such as Mario Angst, a postdoctoral researcher at Eawag, conducted a study to find out which types of organization in Swiss water policy are suitable for the transmission of information between the political camps.
The results of this study, for which about 400 actors involved in water policy and its implementation in the broadest sense were interviewed, were recently published in the journal Governance. The conclusion he draws from this study is that "We can show that scientific organizations are much better able to assume the role of bridge builders than other actors".
