The director general of the Consortium on Regional Climatology and Adaptation to Climate Change Ouranos, Alain Bourque will host a conference on April 7 as part of the annual conference of the Order of Engineers of Quebec. The climate change specialist’s conference encourages engineers to adapt to the new reality by changing their practices, having a global view of the situation. Already, the projects led by Ouranos train engineering students to take into account three types of factors: science, strategy and practical implementation. Without these three components, technical innovations have little chance of meeting the climate challenge.
