Intermittent supply: an obstacle to meeting the SDGs

Good water management is essential to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. However, a major challenge remains: intermittent water supply. Indeed, nearly one billion people only have access to water supply through intermittent piped networks. In addition, 41% of piped water networks in low- and middle-income countries operate intermittently, generating negative impacts on populations.
