Drainage of agricultural land: a chore left to nature

The maintenance of waterways in agricultural areas is a problem for many farmers. Indeed, this mechanism is expensive and does not address the ecological issues related to land erosion. In the Brome-Missisquoi region, the chore of maintaining waterways is a natural one. 

For several years now, this type of development has been multiplying and replacing the traditional methods of maintaining agricultural waterways. This method consists in regularly emptying the accumulation of sediments. 

This type of redevelopment is the last line of defense against problems associated with erosion of agricultural land, in addition to a set of other solutions to conserve and increase the conservation of the environment and watercourses.
